Booking Rules & Service Agreement

Last Updated: March 2026

1. Provisional Booking & Acceptance

1.1 All booking requests submitted via the dittoncabs.co.uk website are provisional and do not constitute a confirmed contract of carriage.

1.2 A booking is only deemed "Confirmed" once you have received a secondary confirmation email or sms message from our team specifically providing the details of your assigned driver and vehicle.

1.3 ARGB Ground Transport reserves the right to decline any provisional booking request without liability if a suitable driver cannot be allocated. If we cannot confirm your booking within 24 hours, the request will expire.

2. Role of ARGB (Agency Clause)

2.1 ARGB Ground Transport Ltd acts solely as a booking agent for self-employed, licensed private hire and taxi drivers. We do not provide transport services ourselves, nor do we employ drivers.

2.2 The contract for the transport service is formed directly between the Passenger and the Driver at the moment the booking is confirmed by us on the driver's behalf.

2.3 The Driver is exclusively responsible for the safe completion of the journey, vehicle standards, and licensing/insurance compliance.

3. Pricing & "Pay on the Day" Terms

3.1 Payment Method: Unlike traditional booking platforms, ARGB does not collect payment upfront. The total fare quoted at the time of booking must be paid directly to the driver on the day of the transfer.

3.2 Fixed Prices: The price quoted is fixed, provided the journey details (pickup, destination, and via points) remain unchanged.

3.3 Waiting Time: For airport pickups, the quote includes 60 minutes of waiting time from the moment the flight lands. Additional waiting time or unscheduled stops will be charged by the driver at our standard rates.

4. Cancellations & No-Shows

4.1 As no payment is taken upfront, customers may cancel a provisional or confirmed booking by notifying us at least 12–24 hours before the pickup time.

4.2 Failure to show up for a confirmed booking ("No-Show") without prior cancellation causes significant loss to our self-employed drivers. We reserve the right to blacklist any user from the platform who fails to honour a confirmed booking.

5. Luggage & Passenger Safety

5.1 It is the customer's responsibility to book a vehicle with sufficient capacity. Drivers reserve the right to refuse carriage if the number of passengers or volume of luggage exceeds the vehicle's legal or safe limit.

5.2 Behaviour: Drivers may refuse transport to any person who appears under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour poses a threat to the driver, the vehicle, or other passengers.

6. Flight Monitoring

6.1 We use the flight numbers provided by you to monitor arrival times. ARGB is not responsible for missed pickups resulting from incorrect flight information provided during the booking process.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 While ARGB and its partner drivers strive for punctuality, we are not liable for any financial losses (e.g., missed flights, train connections, or hotel bookings) resulting from delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, or vehicle breakdowns.

7.2 To the extent permitted by UK law, ARGB's liability is limited to facilitating the communication between the Passenger and the Driver to resolve any service issues.

8. Governing Law

8.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
